Location. The modern Golden Tulip Hotel Altis is located in Lisbon, Portugal, within two kilometres of the lively Bairro Alto area and within three kilometres of St George's Castle. The nearest metro stop is Avenida, and Lisbon (Portela) International Airport (LIS) is 10 kilometres away.

Hotel Features. An 11 storey white building, the Golden Tulip Hotel Altis is on a tree lined street. The lobby has seating areas with sofas and armchairs in gold tones. There is a garage for parking and a complimentary shuttle bus to and from the airport.

The Golden Tulip Hotel Altis provides guests with a complimentary buffet breakfast at Girassol, where there is also an international buffet or set menu for lunch. Grill D Fernando offers traditional Portuguese cuisine and has panoramic city views. Coffee Shop Le Rendez Vous serves speciality teas, coffee and light meals until late. The hotel bar is located on a mezzanine area with entertainment from the hotel pianist.

There are conference rooms at the hotel with computer rental and wireless Internet access available.

Distance to Golden Tulip Hotel Altis is 8 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.

Getting there. Golden Tulip Hotel Altis offers a complimentary shuttle bus to and from the airport. Alternatively, Aerobus shuttle, number 91, runs between the airport, the city centre and the Cais do Sodre railway station every 20 minutes. Tickets cost 2 EUR for a single and 3.10 EUR for all day travel, and can be purchased on board. Public buses depart regularly for a variety of destinations in the city. A shuttle bus runs hourly to Estoril and Cascais, costing 8.50 EUR. Taxis cost 10 EUR to Lisbon city centre. There are extra fees for luggage and a 20 percent surcharge for night services. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Golden Tulip Hotel Altis is on Lisbon's Rua Castilho. An integrated tram, bus and metro system operates in Lisbon. Daily passes can be purchased for travel on public transport. Street elevators and funicular railways transport passengers to Lisbon's Barrio Alto. Ferries run between Lisbon and Cacilhas. Taxis are fairly inexpensive. The hotel has a parking garage.
