Built in 1844, the Quinta Da Bela Vista is an impeccably maintained manor house hotel set in lush gardens with sweeping views of Funchal Bay. The 89 colonial style guestrooms have crisp white walls and fabrics with dark wood furnishings. Rooms open out onto balconies and all come equipped with air conditioning, cable television, direct dial phones, and Internet connections. Marble bathrooms are complete with bathtub/showers, complimentary toiletries, bathrobes, bidets and hair dryers.

The swimming pool, surrounded by sun loungers, is set in the 20,000 square metre gardens featuring exotic plants, cobbled paths and attractive water features. Guests can relax in the sauna and hot tub, practise their serve on the tennis court, and explore the Atlantic by chartering the hotel's very own yacht. Snacks, drinks and cocktails are served at the poolside bar with spectacular views over the Bay of Funchal. Guests can choose between the � la carte menu and the four course set menu in the warm setting of Restaurant Avista Navios, with its wooden furnishings, fireplace, marble floors and garden views. Alternatively the Bela Vista Restaurant is set in the old manor house dating back to 1844, and offers an international menu with a Madeiran twist. The business centre features conference rooms, exhibit space, banquet facilities, and audio visual equipment. The concierge can advise on nearby attractions; golf enthusiasts can enjoy discounted rates at the neighbouring golf courses Palheiro and Santo de Serra, while the hotel's yacht, 'Gaviao', is moored two kilometres away.
