The Madeira Palacio Resort Hotel is a large modern resort set in subtropical gardens and situated on a cliff top overlooking the sea, only a ten minute drive away from Funchal. The 250 air conditioned guestrooms feature contemporary decor in light tones with dark wood furniture. All rooms offer balconies, bathrobes and slippers, complimentary toiletries, direct dial phones, satellite TV, minibars and welcome amenities.
Guests can ease their tensions away at the spa with a range of holistic treatments including luxurious skin therapies and body massages. The glass roofed indoor pool and heated outdoor pool offer year round swimming facilities and there is a gymnasium, a sauna and a steam room available. The hotel can also arrange treks on the Levadas, big game fishing and various water sports. There is also a weekly wine tasting. The Madeira Forum shopping centre is only 500 metres away and Praia Formosa beach is one kilometre away. Madeira Funchal International Airport is 20 kilometres (12.5 miles) away with an approximate driving distance of 20 minutes.

Driving Directions: From the airport follow the signs for Funchal. When you pass Sao Martinho Church turn left, then take the first street on your right towards the sea. The hotel is clearly signposted from there.
