The contemporary Hotel Dome Pedro Garajau is set in lush gardens situated close to the village of Canico nine kilometres from Madeira's capital, Funchal. The 282 guestrooms have cream coloured decor with light oak wood furnishings and tiled floors. Rooms open out on to balconies. Room amenities include direct dial phones, extra towels, linens and bedding, housekeeping services and safes. Bathrooms have bathtubs and bidets.
The hotel offers round the clock entertainment. During the day guests can practise their serve on the volleyball and badminton courts or try their hand at archery and bowls. Evening entertainment features live music, shows, dancing, bingo and karaoke. The two swimming pools are set among palm trees and divided by a bridge leading to the thatched pool bar serving a selection of snacks and drinks. Children can enjoy the kid's pool and playground. The Tropical Restaurant offers typical Madeiran cuisine with theme nights and complimentary drinks. Guests can dine alfresco out on the terrace overlooking the lush gardens. The conference room, complete with audio visual equipment, has a capacity for up to 35 delegates. Banquet facilities are also available for up to 250 guests. The hotel is surrounded by a wealth of attractions: Guests can visit the beautiful botanical gardens and play a round of golf both five kilometres away, or enjoy a day in the capital city of Funchal and take a cable car ride nine kilometres away. Madeira International Airport is 12 kilometres from the hotel.
