Location. The Sofitel Auberge de la Vielle Tour is a beachfront resort hotel set in three hectares of parkland arranged around an 18th century windmill. The hotel is located on the French Caribbean island of Grande Terre on the Guadeloupe archipelago, 500 metres from the village of Gosier and seven kilometres from Pointe a Pitre, the island's main town. Pole Caraibes Airport is 15 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 15 minutes.

Hotel Features. The Sofitel Auberge de la Vielle Tour is set in a three hectare park that leads down to a private serviced beach, while palm tree shaded sun loungers are dispersed around the outdoor pool, complete with poolside restaurant and bar. Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby (surcharge), and complimentary newspapers are also provided. Vieille Tour is a Colonial style restaurant situated in the main building, next to the 18th century windmill, and serves international dishes with local influences, while Le Zagay is situated near the pool and offers Creole fare. Ajoupa is a brasserie style restaurant situated on the beach and offers barbecues and buffet dining.

Sofitel Auberge de la Vielle Tour offers two outdoor tennis courts and an outdoor unheated swimming pool. Snorkelling and scuba diving are available at the hotel's private beach.
