The Mercure Centre Notre Dame is a contemporary hotel dating from 1980 and located in the centre of the historic French city of Nice, across the street from the Notre Dame Cathedral. The 201 guestrooms over six floors feature neutral decor, patterned fabrics and simple furnishings. All are equipped with satellite television, wireless Internet (surcharge), direct dial phones with voicemail, clock radios, coffee/tea makers, and minibars. Bathroom with showers, telephones, bidets and makeup mirrors.
The hotel's rooftop terrace features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a bar serving cocktails, and affords panoramic views across Nice. SNCF national train services run to/from the airport every 30 minutes from Cannes Gare St Laurent du Var and every 45 minutes from Nice (Gare Nice Ville). Taxis are readily available and charge around 30 EUR to the city centre; taxi stands are located outside both terminals. Motorway tolls may be added to the fare. Regular public buses serve the area. A car is recommended for exploring further afield.
