Within a stroll of Halifax's waterfront, the Halliburton House Inn is one of Halifax, Nova Scotia downtown's historic boutique hotel. Built in 1809, the hotel was the home of Sir Brenton Halliburton, the first Chief Justice of the Nova Scotia Supreme Court. From 1885 1887, the buildings served as Dalhousie University's prestigious law school. Today, the inn's popular Stories offers East Coast seafood and game in four intimate dining rooms. In the summer, guests can enjoy cocktails and light fare in the garden courtyard, and relax during the colder months in front of a fire in the hotel's library. Complimentary perks include continental breakfasts and wireless Internet access. The Halliburton also features business services, conference rooms, limo services, and room service during certain hours.
The Halifax inn's 25 guestrooms and four suites feature cable/satellite TVs, coffeemakers and designer toiletries. Each guestroom, positioned in a trio of heritage townhomes, is centrally or individually heated and cooled.
