Location. The Atlantis Paradise Island Royal Tower provides luxury accommodations on the famed Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Occupying 34 acres on the island, which is connected to downtown Nassau by bridge, the Atlantis Resort originally was a casino destination in the 1960s. Adopting the mythical theme of the Lost Continent of Atlantis, today the Atlantis Resort is one of the most lavish properties in the Caribbean and is a popular family vacation destination.
Hotel Features. The Royal Tower is the most luxurious and upscale accommodation at Atlantis, featuring stunning architecture, one of a kind murals, sculpture and fountains. The Great Hall of Waters in the lobby highlights a soaring 70 foot dome ceiling made of golden shells and showcases the Ruins Lagoon, filled with ancient Atlantis artifacts and home to over 20,000 open water fish.
Guestrooms. The Royal Tower offers 1,201 air conditioned guestrooms in two salmon colored wings topped by weathered bronze colored spires. Rooms in the Royal Tower are the largest at the resort and include tropical d�cor, sand colored walls, crown molding and carved, light colored furniture. Many rooms provide views of the harbor, ocean or the resort's waterscape. Non smoking rooms are available. This hotel is closest to the spa, sports center, Mayan Temple water slides, the Dig, Casino, two main pools, Cove Beach and marine exhibits.
The Atlantis resort boasts 21 restaurants, bars, and lounges. Restaurants located in the Royal Tower include renowned Asian gourmet restaurant NOBU; the Caf� at the Great Hall of Waters, a formal restaurant with a backdrop displaying marine life in Ruins Lagoon; Fathoms, also by the Ruins Lagoon and featuring seafood; the Marketplace, with theme dining alcoves decorated with wine and flowers from around the world; and Plato's, an indoor/outdoor lounge serving drinks and food.
